From the Anchorage airport, take International Airport Rd to Minnesota Blvd. to the right, south, towards the Seward Hwy. Take the South Seward Hwy exit (also called AK Hwy 1). This highway takes you around Turnagain Arm. You’ll pass Girdwood with its world-class ski resort and scenic tram. You’ll then pass the turnoff to Portgage Glacier (worth the detour if you have time).
At this point, you’ll begin driving through Turnagain Pass valley. After the turnoff to Hope, go about 30 more miles to the Sterling Hwy turn on the right. Sterling Highway will take you through Cooper Landing, past the Russian River (crowded bank fishing spot!), and through Sterling to Soldotna.
Once you drive through Soldotna and cross the Kenai River bridge in Soldotna. Turn left at the red light (Funny River Road); Spenard Builders Supply hardware store is on the left corner. Drive to the end of Funny River Road (17miles) and take a right at the end of Funny River Road on Salmon Run Drive. 
You should be able to follow green & white ALF signs to the lodge. Go 0.9 miles and turn left on Zachery Drive, and then take the very first right (street not labeled). Follow this road as it curves to the left, then curves to the right, and down to the end at the lodge, overlooking the Kenai River and the Kenai Mountain range.
The entire drive takes about 3 hours with no stops. Please try to reach us on a cell phone when you’re getting close to the lodge. We should be in the area and would like to stop in to meet you.
